About Us - Subscribing via RSS

Tacky Living offers blog updates and content notifications via RSS (Real Simple Syndication).

By subscribing to our RSS feed, you can be automatically notified when content is added without having to visit our site. Unlike traditional email lists, your contact information stays private and you maintain control of your subscription status.

To use RSS, you need an "aggregator" or "RSS Client". These applications are often free and a wide variety are available. Some popular readers include:

  • SharpReader - A Windows-based desktop aggregator with many features.
  • NetNewsWire - For MacOS X.
  • Radio UserLand - Hybrid desktop/Web aggregator and weblogging tool. Windows and Macintosh (7.5.5+ and OSX).
  • MyYahoo - A web-based aggregator that also includes a nice overview of RSS.

How to add Tacky Living to your RSS client
Instructions for subscribing vary from client to client, but tend to be extremely simple. You will probably need to enter one of the following into your RSS client:

  • The URL of Tacky Living's RSS feed, http://www.tackyliving.com/serendipity/rss.php
  • The URL of Tacky Living's main blog page, http://www.tackyliving.com/serendipity/index.php

Tacky Living supports RSS 2.0, 1.0 and ATOM 0.3.
